Kangaatsiaq kommune have four small towns, which are: Agto, Iginniarfik, Ikerasaarsuk and Niaqornaarsuk. Now we have the last umiak in Greenland and you can see it in National Museum in Nuuk, and the owner of the umiak is Otto Petersen (Ortorujuk) from Niaqornaarsuk.

Niaqornaarsuk lies to the entrance to Arfersiorfik fiord. In Niaqornaarsuk the ocean ice barely comes to it, because of it the fishing runs in a whole year, and there are fish in the sea because its in the fiord.
Niaqornaarsuk has a great influence to our municipal city about: Jobs, fishing. and the fishermen are very relialible to their jobs.

When the hunting season and trout season begins, the inhabitants begins to hunt them, the fiord has a distance about 150 km. and some small Irelands are there. you can experience practically about many things out there.

In Qasigiattaat there are trout's and a place you can spot the reindeers and up at the hill there is a lake which has many trout's so you can take the fishing stock and go fishing. Otto Petersen came to that place many times ever since she was a boy to hunt and fish.

In 2005 Kangaatsiaq Kommune had a first time corporation with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, and there was eight persons from around the world, which also came to visit Arfersiorfik fiord, they had a overwhelming experience about being in the Inland ice.

1st day: Arrival to Kangaatsiaq
Every week there comes a ship from Aasiaat and Sisimiut.
You arrive to kangaatsiaq and to the vacancy, presentation to co-travelers and guide.

2nd Day: Trip to all small towns
Trip from Kangaatsiaq - Agto - Iginiarfik - Ikerasaarsuk - Niaqornaarsuk and you spend the night in niaqornaarsuk.

3rd Day: Arfersiorfik
From Niaqornaarsuk - Arfersiorfiks inner place which called Itilliarsuk and from there to Qasigiattaat you spend the night with a tent.

4th day: Qasigiattaat
Qasigiattaat - walking to the Inland ice.

5ft Day: Trout's
Somme experience in Qasigiattaat, fishing trout's and experience Greenlandic fishing with trout's.

6th Day: Eqaluarsuit
From Arfersiorfik to Eqaluarsuit and from there to Kangaatsiaq

7th Day: Sightseeing
Experience and sightseeing: Whales, seals and birds.

8th Day: Departure
Departure from Kangaatsiaq.
